Background

Dr Lee Shu Jin graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1997. She completed her basic surgical training in Singapore General Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital prior to starting her advanced surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in National University Hospital, Singapore. She was awarded the Shaw Foundation scholarship in 2005 for her research on the innervation of the face. She completed her doctorate studies in 2006 with the guidance of Professor Robert Pho from the Department of Hand and Reconstructive Surgery Department, National University Hospital and Professor Wayne Morrison of the University of Melbourne, Australia. The doctorate of medicine was conferred by the University of Melbourne, Australia. She obtained her fellowship training at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne Australia in Cleft and Craniofacial surgery from 2005 to 2006 with Professor John Meara and Dr Anthony Holmes.Dr Lee returned to Singapore in 2006 to join the division of Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, National University Hospital. She won the Young Investigator award at the Golden Anniversary meeting of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2007 for her work on the Innervation of the face. She entered in private practise in Jan 2013 at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre.
