Background

Specialist care in pain management for both acute and chronic conditions. Common conditions treated include sports injuries, headaches, neck and back pain, herniated discs, sciatica, trigeminal neuralgia, shingles (herpes zoster) pain, neuropathic pain, cancer pain, abdominal pain, pelvic pain (prostatitis, interstitial cystitis), etc.

Treatment may include one of the following methods: myofascial trigger point injections, shockwave therapy, Botulinum toxin injections, spinal epidural steroid injections or facet joint injections, sympathetic nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, disc annuloplasty, disc decompression, intrathecal drug delivery and pump implantation and spinal cord stimulation.

Special Interests

Experience in minimally invasive pain procedures with >10 years practicing pain medicine and performing > 800 basic and advanced pain procedures using both ultrasound and fluoroscopy.

- Regenerative procedures (Platelet rich plasma injections and prolotherapy)

- Botox injections for migraines, pyriformis syndrome and other indicated conditions
- Cancer pain interventions e.g. intrathecal catheters, sympathetic blocks/ neurolysis
