Dr. T Ravi established Ravi Surgery in Oct 1997. The clinic is managed by Ms. Nonasiah, a Senior Nurse who is an operation theatre trained nurse and has been with the clinic since its inception. She is well versed in the surgical nursing of patients. She assists Dr. Ravi during the operative procedures and post-surgery care.

The daily clinic affairs are in the charge of Ms. Ching. She too has been with the clinic since its inception. She looks after the accounts and patient appointments and manages the administrative details of the clinic.

Both Ms. Ching and Nona provide advice on the administrative details, financial counselling and assist in setting up the treatment plan for each patient. They also help find solutions to any difficulties encountered by patients or their relatives.

The clinic has a reception and waiting area and a treatment room for minor surgical procedures. The counsultation room is for assessment of the patients and discussion with regards to treatment options.

The clinic has developed expertise in the field of advanced laparoscopic surgery in the various areas of abdominal surgery including cancer operations. We also work with relevant specialists who need to be part of the team that provides the best care for patients to ensure an optimal outcome.

Our aim is to provide the best care for each individual patient from diagnosis to full recovery.

The clinic provides consultation and follow-up care for all its patients. Initial consultation and planning for any surgery is done at the clinic. Minor procedures under local anaesthesia can be carried out in the clinic or day-surgery facilities within the hospital.

Blood and radiological investigations are provided by the hospital or private facilities located within or nearby the hospital.

Major operations or those requiring sedation are performed in the operating theatre within the hospital complex. Patients are warded in the day care facility or hospital.

Currently, Dr. Ravi’s practice include major laparoscopic procedures that include treatment for obesity (Bariatric Surgery), diseases and cancers in the abdominal organs e.g. adrenal gland, spleen, liver, pancreas, small intestines, colon and stomach, hernias, gallstone and its complications, heart or reflux esophagitis and hiatus Hernia. Laparoscopic procedures with other specialists e.g. removal of Kidneys (with urologists), etc are also done.

Emergency Laparoscopic surgery for the appendix, trauma and other acute abdominal conditions in all age groups and pregnant patients are also carried out.

He travels and continues to train and exchange experience with fellow surgeons in Singapore and the region in the field of Minimal Access Surgery.
