The Orthopaedic Practice and Surgery

The Orthopaedic Practice and Surgery (TOPS) is a one-stop bone and joint clinic located at Starmed Specialist Centre and Mount Elizabeth Hospital (Orchard). Our goal is to provide the highest level of orthopaedic care that is up to date with latest medical advances.
We are focused on working closely with patients to achieve their goals and expectations, across a spectrum of high-level professional sports and pain-free lifestyle exercises for the maintenance of health and quality of life. Our vision is to empower and engage patients to manage their own health throughout the treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation journey.

We have fellowship-trained, Singapore Ministry of Health accredited lower limb and upper limb orthopaedic surgeons.
Dr Lim Chin Tat, our lower limb senior consultant has been trained in Stanford University Hospital, USA and Oxford University Hospital, UK under a Ministry of Health scholarship.  Dr Lim was involved in the management of complex primary and revision hip and knee surgeries as well as sports surgeries. Dr Lim was also involved in the management of outpatient joint replacement surgeries in both centres.
Dr Eileen Tay, our upper limb senior consultant has undergone extensive training at the Hôpital de La Tour in Geneva, Switzerland, with Dr Alexandre Lädermann. She was trained in shoulder joint replacements, shoulder arthroscopies and the management of sports shoulder injuries. Subsequently she completed her clinical fellowship in elbow surgery with Dr Boris Hollinger at Arkus Sportklinik in Pforzheim, Germany. She was involved in the management of elbow sports injuries, ligament reconstructions, elbow arthroscopies, elbow replacements and complex elbow reconstructions.
Both have them have worked for many years in Singapore government hospitals with vast experience in complex surgeries.
