Dr Chok Aik Yong is an experienced General and Colorectal Surgeon. He is the Medical Director at Aelius Surgical Centre, located in Mount Elizabeth Hospital (Orchard).
Dr Chok obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore. He subsequently completed his specialist training in general surgery in 2016 and attained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2017.

He was given the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award, to further develop his subspecialty expertise in the surgical management of advanced colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at the Royal Marsden Hospital (London, UK), one of the top 5 cancer centres in the world.

Dr Chok’s expertise lies in managing colorectal diseases, particularly advanced colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. He is also proficient in the treatment of surgical conditions such as hernia, haemorrhoids, anal fistula and bowel disorders. Dr Chok has a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic colorectal surgery as well as colonoscopy and polypectomy.

Dr Chok Aik Yong is prolific in scientific research, has authored and co-authored more than 40 scientific publications in renowned medical journals including the British Journal of Surgery and International Journal of Colorectal Diseases, and is an active member of the international PelvEx Collaborative. He is regularly invited to present as a faculty speaker and moderator at international scientific conferences held across the world.
