Background

Dr Lee Kuok Chung is Medical director of Crest Surgical practice and Senior consultant Colorectal surgeon. His primary practice includes oncological colorectal surgery and benign perianal conditions. His subspecialty niche practice includes robotic surgery and advanced endoscopy procedures.
He graduated from National University Singapore (NUS) in 2005 and obtained post-graduate qualifications – Master of Medicine (Surgery), Master of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) of Edinburgh in 2007. In 2015, he further honed his skills in advanced laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer in Yonsei University College of Medicine (Korea) under the prestigious MOH Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP).
Prior to private practice, Dr Lee practised as a surgeon in the Colorectal division of General Surgery at National University Hospital (NUH), Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and Alexandra Hospital (AH). As a keen educator, he served as chief convener for the final year medical students and also served as a core committee member of NUH General Surgery Residency Program. Today, he continues to hold the position of visiting consultant at NUH, where he continues to contribute to public healthcare and medical education.

Achievements

Apart from his clinical practice, Dr Lee has published in numerous peer reviewed journals. He is also frequently invited to share his clinical expertise and has delivered numerous presentations at academic meetings.
In his leisure time, he pursues his passions in long-distance running and photography.
