Dr Victor Seah is an orthopaedic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.

He has a special interest in orthopaedic trauma and geriatric osteoporotic fractures, as well as foot and ankle injury.

He manages major bone fractures, osteoporotic fractures (fractures in the elderly), intra-articular fractures (fractures involving joints) and pelvis and acetabular fractures.

He is also experienced in ankle and foot ligament disruptions, tendon injuries, fractures of the ankle and foot, foot deformities like Hallux valgus reconstruction, and sports injuries of the foot and ankle.

Achievements

In 2010, Dr Seah gained a fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology at Charite, the medical university in Berlin, and a foot and ankle fellowship in Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in Dresden, Germany. He also completed a course in clinical education at the Harvard Macy Institute.

Upon his return to Singapore, Dr Seah was actively involved in the care of trauma patients, and was the trauma team leader of the orthopaedic department in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

He was appointed by MOH to be a member of the work group of the Osteoporotic Hip Fracture Clinical Practice Guidelines and the Integrated Care Pathway programme. He also led a multidisciplinary team in developing Khoo Teck Puat Hospital’s inaugural integrated practice unit for geriatric hip fractures.

He was a clinical senior lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and also held concurrent appointments as clinical core faculty members of the National Healthcare Group and the Alexandra Health Orthopaedic Residency Programme. He was also involved in the development of the curriculum at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Dr Seah is an active international and regional faculty member of AOTrauma, the foremost academic organisation in the field of orthopaedics and trauma, based in Switzerland.

He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore.
