Dr Jesse Hu is a general surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore.

Her specialties are in managing benign and malignant breast and thyroid conditions, which includes breast cancer screening and treatment, evaluation and management of breast pain, breast lumps, breast cysts. She also manages thyroid lumps, thyroid cancers, goitre and hyperparathyroidism. She performs minimally invasive breast and thyroid surgery, including oncoplastic breast surgery for breast cancers.

Dr Jesse was a former senior consultant at the National University Health System, caring for patients at the National University Hospital (NUH) and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

After graduating and completing surgical training at NUH, she was admitted as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. She subsequently completed two Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) fellowships in Breast Surgery and Endocrine Surgery at the Oxford University Hospitals, UK.

She was the tumour group lead for breast oncology at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore, and the lead for JCI accreditation, which focused on patient safety and care in the hospital. She was a clinical senior lecturer and surgical program director, as well as the assistant program director for the General Surgery National Residency program.
