Dr. Lim Yaozong Benji

Dr Benji Lim is a senior consultant, interventional cardiologist experienced in coronary angiography and angioplasty and has performed over 5,000 coronary procedures and over 2,000 angioplasties as the primary operator. His clinical interests include the prevention and management of coronary artery disease and its risk factors, such as diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolaemia.

He graduated from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 2007, completed his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2012, and Advanced Specialist Training in Cardiology in 2015. In 2017, he underwent a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Inselspital, University of Bern, Switzerland. Prior to joining Novena Heart Centre, he was a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Changi General Hospital and Visiting Consultant at the National Heart Centre Singapore.

Dr Lim served as Associate Program Director of the SingHealth Cardiology Senior Residency Programme (2018-2024) and held academic appointments such as Clinical Assistant Professor at SingHealth Duke-NUS and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore. His research has been published in international journals such as Circulation and the Journal of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology, and he is a regular speaker at regional and international conferences.

He has received multiple awards for his contributions to education and patient care, including the SingHealth Quality Service Gold Award (2022) and Silver Award (2025), and the SingHealth Residency Outstanding Faculty Award (2020).
