Dr William Kristanto is a cardiologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.

His subspecialty is in interventional cardiology, with a focus on coronary angioplasty.

He uses up-to-date techniques in coronary physiology such as fractional flow reserves, coronary flow reserves, and index of microvascular resistance in the treatment for acute coronary syndrome, ischemic heart disease and coronary microvascular dysfunction. He also uses intra-coronary imaging techniques such as optical coherence topography and intravascular ultrasound for optimising stenting procedure.

Dr Kristanto is currently a visiting cardiologist at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore. He is also involved in the Western STEMI (Western ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction) network at the National University Health System providing primary angioplasty services. He is also a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

He graduated from the National University of Singapore and completed his internal residency programme at the National University Hospital (NUH). This was followed by a cardiology senior residency programme at NUH. He received the Health Manpower Development Plan award. He served as an interventional cardiologist at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and was a deputy chief medical informatics officer, where he helped with the transition of electronic health records to next generation electronic medical records. While at NTFGH, he led the cardiac rehabilitation programme.

He is a member of various cardiac societies. Dr Kristanto is a recipient of the NTFGH Service Champion award.
